One-Minute Chart Analysis

Reading the 1-minute chart for momentum entries: candle structure, volume spikes, and separating signal from noise on the fastest timeframe.

The 1-minute chart is the primary execution timeframe for many momentum scalpers. It shows every push, pullback, and volume surge as it happens — but it also shows a lot of noise, and learning to filter that noise is the entire skill.

Focus on structure, not individual candles. A series of higher highs and higher lows with expanding volume on the pushes is an uptrend you can trade; random overlapping candles with no volume conviction is chop you should avoid. Volume spikes mark moments of agreement — breakouts, breakdowns, and reversals all announce themselves with volume first.

Because everything happens fast on the 1-minute, your plan must be set before the candle forms: entry trigger, stop, and target written down in advance. Traders who improvise on the 1-minute chart donate to those who prepared.
