Entries and Exits Framework
A complete framework for entries and exits: triggers vs. areas, scaling out, and why exits determine more of your P&L than entries do. Includes a real live-trading session as an example.
Beginners obsess over entries; professionals obsess over exits. A mediocre entry with a great exit plan usually beats a perfect entry with no exit plan, because exits are where profits are actually captured and losses are actually contained. Separate areas from triggers. An area is where you want to trade — a VWAP reclaim zone, a pullback to the 9 EMA. A trigger is the precise event that gets you in — a 1-minute candle closing back above the level with volume. Trading areas without triggers leads to early entries; trading triggers without areas leads to random trades.
Plan exits in three parts before entering: the stop (where the idea is wrong), the first target (where you take partial profit and reduce risk), and the runner management (trailing or holding for the bigger move). The linked live session shows this framework applied to real trades, including the ones that did not work.
